Poolscape
Poolscape design: the patio, decking, water and light around your pool
A pool is only half of a backyard. We design and build the patios, decks, water features and lighting that make the rest of it work.
Chapter 01
What a poolscape covers
A poolscape is the complete design and landscaping around a swimming pool. It blends function and looks so the water, the ground around it and the planting read as one outdoor retreat rather than a pool dropped into a lawn.
That takes in decking, patios, lighting, water features, furniture and landscaping. Admiral Pools designs, builds and maintains custom poolscapes for homes in Abingdon, Harford County, Cecil County and northern Baltimore County, starting from your space and your taste instead of a stock layout.
Expert layout matters most in the first drawing. Where the traffic runs between the back door, the water and the seating decides how comfortable the yard feels long after the last paver is set.

Decking, pavers and stonework at the water's edge
The surface around a pool does the hardest work in the yard. It takes the wet feet, the sun, the furniture and the foot traffic, so we install high-quality patios, pavers and stonework and design the deck to the way you will actually use it.
Custom patio and decking designs let the hard surface follow the shape of the pool and the yard instead of fighting it. Pavers and stone give you texture and colour to match the house, and the same lines can carry through to steps, walls and seating.
Chapter 03
Water, light, greenery and fire
Waterfalls, fountains and bubblers add movement and sound, and LED lighting carries the whole space into the evening. We plan them together so the lights show off the water features instead of competing with them.
Around that sit the landscaping and outdoor enhancements: lush planting, privacy screens, built-in seating and fire pits. Pool maintenance and renovation stay in the same hands, so the finished poolscape keeps looking the way it did on day one.
