In-ground design and build

A concrete, vinyl or fiberglass pool drawn to your yard, then built to last

Admiral Pools designs custom in-ground pools for yards across Harford, Cecil and northern Baltimore County and Southeast Pennsylvania, with dozens of shapes and sizes and full maintenance and service options after the build.

Chapter 01

Where the yard says yes

A pool starts as a drawing of your property, not a catalog page. We blend your ideas with what is practical and functional in your yard and inside your budget, so the first questions are about the ground. How big and what shape is the yard? Are there easements, setbacks, a septic system or a well that limits where the pool can sit and how large it can be?

Then the questions turn to you. Is this for family relaxation, or do you want to be ready for the big party? Do you picture a traditional straight wall with a Roman end, or a radius, free-form shape? A yard with real elevation may call for a retaining wall, and every pool needs a primary focal point and a door of the house you will walk out of to reach it.

If you are not sure a pool fits your lot at all, start with the plot plan you received when you bought the property. It shows the property line and setbacks. Knowing where the well or septic system lives matters too, and we are happy to call your municipality on your behalf.

Concrete, vinyl or fiberglass: what each asks of the yard

We specialize in all three, so the material follows your yard and your plans rather than the other way around. Which one is best depends on what you want to use the pool for, your budget, how long you plan to stay in the house and a handful of other factors. The right pool looks different for everyone.

Schedule is part of the choice. Vinyl and fiberglass pools take a considerably shorter time to finish and can be done in as little as a week in some circumstances, though weather and the contractor's schedule play a big part in how long any project runs.

On cost, there is no single answer, because many variables go into building a pool. A small vinyl pool can start in the lower 20,000s while other pools can be well over $100,000. Free quotes are how that range becomes a real number for your property, and financing is available.

Chapter 03

Waterfalls, lighting and the seasons after

Features are entirely up to you. Waterfalls and outdoor lighting are the two that change a pool most, and a pool with a nice poolscape around it, maybe with a small pavilion, sets the stage for cookouts, pool parties or a quiet evening. LED lighting, programmable electronic controls, the pump you select and an automatic pool cover are also the main ways to make a pool greener and more energy-efficient.

We build with durable, long-lasting materials, because an in-ground pool is meant to hold up season after season. Manufacturing and workmanship warranties are included, and full maintenance and service options are there when the pool is done.

Upkeep is lighter than people expect when preventative care comes first. Keeping the water balanced and being strategic about when you open and close the pool does most of the work, and we teach those routines both in-store and online.
